Description: The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (R.Y.L.A.) conference for district 5190 is held each year in June in South Lake Tahoe. Cameron Park Rotary has been sponsoring two students from Ponderosa High School for several years. The conference is unique in that the students selected are from the junior class at Ponderosa. The reason for selecting this class is the hope that the leadership training along with information about the object of Rotary will lead the students to a leadership role during their senior year.
