Description: Just how big is the General Sherman tree? We superimposed a photograph of our truck on picture of the tree. With a diameter at the base of 36.5 feet, the General Sherman tree in Sequoia National Park dwarfs our 3/4 ton GMC Sierra 2500HD. The truck is 18.8 feet long.
